Check out this great video made by our partners in Orlando describing the order process and why to choose Touchless.
Quick video of just how we can protect your investment while streamlining the process of protecting your boat. Touchless removes the need to crawl all over your boat, trying to stretch a traditional cover, which generally only protects the interior, allowing the sun to bake your beautiful gel coat.
We're often asked how long the process takes, what steps are involved, and what to expect....Here we go!
Step 1 - Contact us to get a quote. Generally we'll ask to get a picture or two of your dock, model of boat, and location (St Johns, one of the many creeks, intracoastal, etc). With this information we can give you an estimate that is generally pretty close.
Step 2 - On site measurements. After receiving your quote we'll schedule a time to come to your dock and take measurements and evaluate options. This process can take between 1-2 hours, as everything is precisely measured for our engineering and manufacturing teams create each cover for your dock. Once our engineers review the plans we can give you an exact price (this can take 7-10 days depending on how busy the head engineer is).
Step 3 - Payment and ordering of cover. Since your cover is custom for your dock, full payment is due at time of ordering. We accept checks and major credit cards. Production can vary greatly depending on current economic conditions (thanks COVID), time of year, and other factors, however, generally production is 4-6 weeks, although we've seen up to 8 with recent supply delays for materials.
Step 4 - Item delivery and installation. Generally our customers hire our team to install the covers, as our crews have put up countless covers and the most efficient and factory trained. However, if you elect to, we can simply deliver the cover to your dock. The quote you receive with the cover price will have the installation crew option available to you. Payment for installation is due at the time of job completion and is payable with check or major credit card. As our crew is factory trained, warranty of the product is dependent on our crew installing the cover. Our crew regularly receives outstanding feedback and you'll likely have one of the company owners on each job. After the installation you'll receive a tutorial of how to operate the cover, how to properly care for your cover, and how to prepare if there are high winds forecasted due to a hurricane. You may also elect to have an annual inspection and servicing, which includes lubricating pulleys, making any adjustments needed, and overall peace of mind knowing your investment will keep you happy for the next 15-20+ years.
Step 5 - Enjoy! Time to enjoy the peace of time, time savings and ultimate lifestyle change you can have with boating!
